Il nuovo abbigliamento da strada Trek si concentra sulla sostenibilità, sulla vestibilità su misura e sulla funzionalità quotidiana

Trek sta tornando nel gioco dell'abbigliamento e sta tornando a un livello premier. Questo nuovo abbigliamento Trek (non più a marchio Bontrager) cerca di sfidare le linee di alto livello in termini di vestibilità e scelte di tessuti sostenibili. La nuova linea di abbigliamento cerca di differenziarsi dal passato con un ridotto spreco di materiale, meno imballaggi e una sensazione di guida di livello mondiale.

La prima domanda che mi viene in mente è: perché Trek? La linea è più su misura e un po' più focalizzata sul premium rispetto all'abbigliamento Bontrager di un tempo, anche se utilizzano alcune delle stesse convenzioni di denominazione Bontrager familiari, come RSL, Velocis, Circuit e Solstice. Una volta visto tutto, è più facile da capire.

Gran parte della storia dell'abbigliamento Trek è dovuta alla scelta più responsabile dei tessuti e al ridotto impatto ambientale della produzione di abbigliamento. L’abbigliamento (in particolare il fast fashion, quello monouso) è il terzo settore più inquinante dopo petrolio e gas, agricoltura e trasporti marittimi messi insieme. In termini più precisi, dell’intera fibra utilizzata per l’abbigliamento, l’87% viene infine incenerito o smaltito in discarica.
